As a teacher

  • For a single student: You can print in-progress drafts from the draft view or their submission from the grading view. Hit Ctr+P on Windows or Cmd+P on Mac OS. This should give you the option to save the document as a PDF or print it.

    • Note: This may have issues in Safari. We recommend using Chrome or the Download button for best results.

  • For all submissions: You can bulk download all submissions on an assignment. Find the assignment > Select "Actions" > Select "Download submissions".

As a student

  • Printing Drafts: Students can print their drafts from their assignment editor. They can hit Ctr+P on Windows or Cmd+P on Mac OS. This should give them the option to save the document as a PDF or print it.

  • Printing Reports with comment feedback: Students can print their grade report. They can hit Ctr+P on Windows or Cmd+P on Mac OS from their report. In Chrome, they should select the option "Background graphics" to show the comments. Note that longer comments may get cut off.

Known Issues:

  • Printing in Safari can have issues. Instead, we recommend using the "Download submissions" button in Safari.

  • Occasionally, downloads may not properly render some special characters. If you notify us, we can likely resolve these missing characters.

  • Bulk download is not supported on assignments where students work in a Google Doc. We're working on adding this feature. Please drop us a note if this would be helpful for you.
