Option 1: Google Doc assignments (Student-led)

Managed Google Docs are currently in Beta: This is a new mode that will create a Google Doc for each student when you publish. You can then enable integrity guardrails and AI support for students. Best for long-form essays.

If you see Beta when creating a Google Doc assignment, this feature is enabled for you.

When teachers create a TrueMark assignment using Google Docs, students are prompted to submit their google docs:

  • Students upload their submission directly in TrueMark

  • They can select which specific tab to upload from their multi-tab document

  • Teachers will get a comprehensive integrity report that they can review and grade within TrueMark.

  • Teachers can view and leave comments directly on the student's google doc

Option 2: Teacher-Initiated Uploads

For teacher-managed submissions:

  • Click the "Scan a Google Doc" button in the top left corner of your TrueMark home page

  • Upload any Google Doc a student has submitted (make sure to have edit permissions on the document)

  • Choose which specific tab you want to review

  • Teachers will get a comprehensive integrity report that can be reviewed and graded within TrueMark.

  • Teachers can view and leave comments directly on the student's google doc
